China’s Export Performance

China, as the leading exporter, experienced a growth of 17.9% in its bedlinen exports over the six years, with a CAGR of 2.8%. Despite a slight decline in 2017, China’s exports recovered and peaked in 2021 at $3115.8 million. However, there was a noticeable drop in 2022, bringing the exports down to $2692.6 million. China’s market share remained dominant, averaging above 80% throughout the period, although it saw a slight decrease to 80.3% in 2022.

Pakistan’s Export Performance

Pakistan showed an impressive growth of 682.6% in its bedlinen exports, with a remarkable CAGR of 40.9%. Starting from a modest $15.0 million in 2016, Pakistan’s exports surged to $117.3 million by 2022. Its market share reflected this growth, increasing from 0.5% to 3.5% over the same period.

Comparative Analysis

Comparing the two countries, Pakistan’s growth rate is significantly higher than China’s, indicating a robust expansion in its bedlinen export sector. While China’s exports are much larger in volume, Pakistan’s rapid increase in market share suggests it is becoming a more significant player in the industry.
