ColorJet India Ltd created a vibrant buzz at ITMA Asia plus CITME 2025 with the launch of FabJet Pro, a 3.2 metre digital inkjet printer engineered for home furnishing as well as apparel production. This advanced model reflects a major leap in digital textile technology, blending scale with precision to meet rising global demand for high quality, eco friendly printing.

Introducing the innovation, Dr R Bharanitharan, Associate Vice President and Head of India Sales at ColorJet India Ltd, noted that FabJet Pro has been designed to handle large format furnishing materials including curtains and bedsheets with ease. The machine prints up to thirteen thousand square metres per day and can also support apparel workflows through dual printing row configuration, making it a versatile solution for producers aiming for both volume and quality.

FabJet Pro operates with thirty two to forty eight print heads and can be customised in both CMYK and eight colour combinations to deliver fine detailing across varied textile categories. The printer works with pigment as well as disperse ink, enabling smooth production on cotton rich fabrics as well as polyester based materials. Currently, five units are successfully running, three in India and two in global markets, particularly in furnishing applications with pigment ink.

Sustainability shaped many conversations at ITMA Asia, as demand for pigment printing grew rapidly across international markets. With reduced water and energy use, pigment based processes are gaining traction among environmentally aware buyers and regulators. Visitors at the event responded enthusiastically to the complete FabJet Pro setup, which included feeder, printer, drying and curing modules, attracting interest from regions such as Egypt, Indonesia, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Southern India and Surat.

Reflecting on industry direction, Dr Bharanitharan highlighted the clear movement from rotary to digital printing. With unmatched flexibility, faster response to market demand and unlimited design potential, digital production is steadily emerging as the new backbone of modern textile manufacturing.
